Poster prize
During the Convention, members of the Telethon Scientific Committee taking part in the meeting will select the 3 best poster presentations and award them a prize of 1000 Euros each. The selection will be based on the scientific content and their clarity. A preliminary selection, with the same criteria, will be made on the abstracts submitted.
Poster prizes awarded during the previous convention.
Guidelines
- The poster presentation provides the opportunity for individuals to present their research and offers an excellent venue for extended informal discussion with meeting attendees.
- Good posters are essentially extended abstracts with easily readable figures and graphics.
- The poster should be effective in clearly expressing your research and its results without the need for extended explanations.
Poster Dimensions
Poster boards are 100 cm (width) x 250 cm (height) for displaying illustrative material (graphs, charts, and tables).
Title
- The title of the poster (in English) and the authors' names should be large (font should be at least 4 cm) and clearly visible from a distance.
- Affiliations of all authors and contact details (including e-mail address) of the project holder should be included.
Text
- The text of the poster should be written in English.
- A lay summary written in Italian should be included.
- All words should be legible from a distance of about 1.5 m.
Notes
Posters will remain displayed throughout the conference, which should provide ample opportunities for attendees to view your poster. A specific poster session will be scheduled, in order to provide a dedicated opportunity of scientific exchange between the authors.
'Mini' versions of the poster can be considered for colleagues to take with them for further study.
During the day dedicated to Telethon’s “Associazioni Amiche”, the members of the various Associations will be accompanied on a tour of the posters. The Telethon researchers are kindly asked to make themselves available for this event.
