The XV Scientific Convention is open to:
- All Telethon grantees with an active or recently closed project
- Patient Associations
Telethon grantees
All Telethon grantees are invited to take part by presenting a poster in English that summarizes the ongoing research related to their project.
During the Convention, 3 prizes for the best poster presentation will be awarded; the selection will be made by members of the Telethon Scientific Committee taking part in the meeting. Further details can be found here: Poster.
Registration for the Convention should be sent by January 9, 2009. Two abstracts with an update on the funded project should be sent, one in English and one in Italian by the same date. Further details are available here: Registration and Abstract.
Patient Associations
The Telethon Scientific Convention is an important occasion to inform patients and their Associations about the results of the research on human genetic diseases funded by Telethon.
To this purpose, during the next edition of the Scientific Convention a satellite event dedicated to patients and their representatives will be held. The event will be focused on different topics related to the research and the role of Patient Associations in the fight against genetic diseases.
Representatives of the Associations interested in participating in this meeting are asked to register. Further details are available here: Satellite event.
