As a war reporter, Charles Sabine diced with death. Now he has an incurable brain disorder, Huntington disease, and terror is ever-present. Yet he has no symptoms and he decided to travel around the world talking about his own story and promoting knowledge and scientific research.

Telethon Italy is one of the biggest biomedical charity in Italy, whose mission is to advance biomedical research towards diagnosis, cure and prevention of genetic diseases. It was founded in 1990 by a patients' association, the Italian Union for Muscular Dystrophy (UILDM).

Fundraising depends primarily on a solidarity marathon presented on national TV channels: during the recent television marathon (11-12-13 December 2009), Telethon presented a short film telling Charles' story.
