In our struggle against rare genetic diseases, union brings strength.
Telethon’s work has always entailed synergy with patients’ associations, institutional bodies and other players engaged in research into these diseases. The national and international alliances and initiatives that the Foundation takes part in are a fundamental resource. Thanks to these exchanges of data and information, our research becomes more efficacious and more effectively focussed.
WHO DO WE WORK WITH?
We have gradually built up various strategic alliances that enable optimal use of the considerable amount of scientific research undertaken. We engage in ‘networking’ with national and international players who, like ourselves, combat genetic diseases, and we provide support to newcomers to biomedical research. These entities, which rely on autonomous resources and technical and specialised competencies, contribute to the growth of awareness, attention and concrete commitment in regard to this problem.
