Our champions: Stefano and the National Volleyball Team

Real sport stars, and not only for their physical prowess. The National Volleyball Team meet a “special” fan just days before leaving for the London Olympics.

The welcome is not what you would expect – these noted sportsmen, concentrated on their upcoming challenge, dedicate themselves to their small guest with great willingness.

Stefano is their guest - he is 7 years old. Standing next to the team captain Savani or Mastrangelo, he almost disappears; yet Stefano is another type of champion. 2 years ago he found out that he would be fighting every day of his life, against a genetic disease which will weaken his muscles up to the point where he will no longer be able to walk – Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

At the London Olympics the Italian National Volleyball Team will also be playing for him.
